When you need sport to feel alive

Every day, I ask myself how I can be better than yesterday and trust me, I have so many days where I believe I reached nothing. As if I were stepping on the exact same place, feeling useless … and sometimes it makes me crazy.

But there is one thing that makes me not only push myself forward in every aspect, but that also makes me feel alive.

Sport.

Although it seems so irrelevant (I’m not a professional athlete) it is so important to me. The gym is my happy place. The movement is my greatest supporter. There will never be a day where I would regret moving my body and I always leave the gym smiling. Every time I’m feeling down or really sad it’s a kind of therapy for me to train whether it is in the gym, outside or anywhere else. But it’s not only about strength training and being able to lift heavy weights. I am also a human living for dance. While dancing, I feel like I can express my deepest emotions within the moves. To express my feelings in other ways is hardly possible for me. So if you want to know how I’m feeling inside, just watch me dance.

Sport is so much more for me. It’s my air to breathe. And I’m so grateful that I can do the sport the way I can do.
